Goodbye Summer, your Grays were Gorgeous.

This has been a summer of extremes, sad to sublime.  So many memories and experiences which have shaped me in ways that make me a better me.  I’m reflecting, the changing seasons take me there. I  hope your summer has been everything you’d hoped for.  One of my unexpected joys came at the beach.  On a multi-stop, multi-state road trip, and often barely able to see the road ahead, Everett and I drove through stormy weather to get to the Atlantic; it rained the entire time we were there.  We were ready for the beach; yearning for warm sun and sand and got cold wind and rain.  Huddled together and bundled up, we defiantly set our chairs on the shore, buried our toes in the sand, watched the waves, and let the rain wash over our bodies. The waves came crashing, bringing calm and balm, there is beauty in the storm. Sometimes you just need to sit with things as they are, let it be everything and enough.  Love and much respect to Zora Neale Hurston… in those moments, “Our eyes were watching God”.  The entire trip was awe inspiring and ah-mazing. And decoratively speaking, God’s color palette is absolutely dreamy, no matter the weather… simply gorgeous!!!
